Depending on the shape you're in, you can adapt the stages to your ability. The distances vary from a minimum of 25km to a maximum of 83km. The longest minimum stage is 63km. | Hungary : Danube 2 : From Budapest to the Southern border of Hungary - 2009 - 440 €, 8 days/ 7 nights A quite good physical shape is required. From 40 to 70kms per day. No big difference in height. This tour is an ideal and lighter addition to the Vienna – Budapest sector or can be done separately. However, the distance to cover is shorter than that of the latter so allows more time to stop for a snack or simply to admire the environment. You will first drive all way long the Csepel Island, leave it to take the cycling trail on the dam of the left bank, then after driving through the Mohács Island you reach the southermost point of the tour. From there you drive North on the right bank all through the forest in a beautiful National Park. You take a train back to Budapest. |
