Our new road cycling trip in Tuscany will take you from the fortified town of Lucca to Pisa, through the amazing Florence, the Chianti vineyards and olive groves... A splendid cycling itinerary not to be missed! |
Day 1 Welcome in Italy
We will welcome you at the Pisa airport or train station depending on your arrival time. A transfer will be organized to your hotel in Lucca where we will spend the first night.

Day 2 Lucchenese hills
We will discover the hills overlooking Lucca. A few kilometers is enough to reach some very nice and tortuous little roads. We will cross olive groves and see wonderful properties in the pure tuscan tradition. The scenery is gorgeous and at some points even allow us to spot the Mediterrannean sea. Then, after a copious picnic, we will get back to Lucca for a last ride on the fortified walls before heading back to our hotel.

Day 3 From Lucca to Florence Province
This stage will take us inland and we will see the first Chianti vineyards. The hilly countryside will take us to the little town of Vinci where Leonardo Da Vinci was born. This is a very beautiful place and from there, we will carry on towards Florence.

Day 4 Florence
This day will be easier than the previous one and will allow us to discover the wonderful city of Florence. You can enjoy a great ice cream or a slice of pizza at one of the numerous places available. Do not forget taking a photo of yourself on your bike on the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge, this will make a fantastic souvenir.

Day 5 From vineyards to vineyards in the Chianti
The scenery is simply fantastic. Every hill is offering different view and worthes climbing it. Vineyards and olive groves are so numerous that they seem to never end. We will also cross beautiful typical villages in a very historic region of Tuscany.

Day 6 Loop in the Sienna region hills
From our hotel, we will explore the beautiful hills famous in Italy among all the road cycling specialists. Steep climbs, great descents will follow each others. The perched villages are the today’s goals and the quietness of the countryside will overwhelm us... We will then head towards the famous San Gimignano village that is one of the moste beautiful fortified village in Tuscany.

Day 7 Pisa
This day will allow us to cross most of Tuscany to rally the worldwide famous town of Pisa an dits leaning tower. The road will take you for the last time in the Chianti vineyards and beautiful villages before reaching Pisa. Pisa is also a student town full of bars and cafes. We will stay not far away from the leaning tower, in the heart of Pisa to enjoy a last evening together.
