| Away from the touristic places, you'll discover the raw natural beauty of this island. Crossing the "regional natural park" (protected area) on your bike, you'll enjoy the breathtaking landscapes, and realize that there's no need to cross the globe to find some of the most amazing sceneries ever. Expect some great rides through forests, on nice tracks and small trails... surely you'll meet a few cows, goats, and pigs along the stages. A trip that you will never forget !! |
Day 1 Ajaccio
You'll spend your first day in Ajaccio; city of the famous Napoleon Bonaparte. Located in a beautiful bay, we admit it has a little "côte d'Azur" touch. Once on your bike you'll discover the wilder side of the area, along the coast and on the heights in the West of the city.
Ride: about 2h30, 29Km and 670m height difference.

Day 2 The Taravu-Valley
After the breakfast you'll have a few hours to visit Ajaccio, before taking the bus to a little village in the upper Taravu-Valley.

Day 3 Loop to the Verde pass
The loop starts with a gentle climb towards the Verde pass, along the Taravu-River. The landscapes are a dream! Tracks and trails will lead you through the forest and across some typical sheepfolds.

Day 4 To the "Plateau du Coscione"
Today the stage leads you Southwards over small mountain roads, dusty tracks and little forest trails. Again you'll come across some Corsican sheepfolds, and if you get the opportunity to try a local cheese, don't hesitate!

Day 5 Loop to the Bavella needles
The area of Bavella is quite known for its natural beauty and the impressive rock formations. While on your bike you'll enjoy amazing views, riding in this stunning scenery.

Day 6 Into the heart of the Alta Rocca
The last (but not least) stage brings you farther down South. You'll cross the beautiful forest of Zonza, and on a little extension loop (really worth it) you can get some unexpected views over the bay of Porto-Vecchio.
Ride: about 4h15, 61Km, around 2000m h.d.

Day 7 End of the tour
Our tour ends after the breakfast. A bus transfer to Ajaccio or Porto-Vecchio is possible (ask us). |
